Maestro 3

It's like an art marathon. For better or worse I'm committed. Today was gratifying. It's been a long time since I rendered the ebb and flow of folds cloth. The abstract shapes are confusing, but on a portrait, such as this one, they magically form the musculature of the body poised for a specific action. In this case, the conductor holding his music in one hand, and conducting with the other. It isn't easily revealed, as I wrestle with the abstraction of the shapes formed by body and cloth. It really feels a magical sensation when I cross the line, look up from my intense concentrated study and see, indeed, and at last, the back, and arm, and shirt, forming, into the story they will tell. A good time to pause for the night.
