Only 14, or so, more nubby knitted hat ribs to go......Hurrah! They're actually kinda fun, but I keep losing count. Lol. They are important to the image because their lights, darks, and curvature, lend form to the shape of the boy's head. As l move further across the page, it gets interesting as the shadow increases, adding perspective and a somewhat dramatc play of light and shade. The hope is to evoke a compelling composition, and enhance the mood of the piece. A lot of responsibility for nubby hat ribs, indeed.
